Must Have: NFL Robot Action Figures

Football season is finally here so why not go robot while you go team? The 12" Eli Manning has a magnetic hand for holding included football and is fully articulated so that you can play between the action. Push a button and the player becomes a bot. If you prefer Dallas to New York, the 10" Cowboy is for you.

Wait, there's more! How about a 10" bot representing the Green Bay Packers? Perhaps the 12" New England Patriots Robot is more to your personal preference. Each is posable and goes great with chips and dips at halftime.

Must Have: Syma Mini-Copter

We wrote about Syma's Mini-Copters back in January, and were surprised to find that the company has dropped the price so that now everyone can annoy others with one. No assembly is required and each has gyroscope technology that allows it to go up, down, left, right, forward and backwards for up to 12 minutes per charge. Each is 3.5", just large enough to do some damage indoors.

Must Have: Willa - Fijit Friend

is one of four Fijit Friends that debuted at February's Toy Fair and is ready to be your or someone you love's best friend. Made by Mattel, she can sing, dance, giggle and tell jokes. With soft, tactile skin and LED face, she responds to noise, movements and tummy poking. She reacts to over 30 specific voice commands, has about 150 phrases and can interact with mobile apps, TV commercials and other outside stimuli. When bedtime comes, she can become a nightlight.

The video is a bit juvenile, but then you have to consider the target audience and realize this will be a hot Holiday season for the quartet. Hit the link to see all four of the Fijit Friends.

Must Have: OWI ATR Kit

We always like finding stuff from OWI as their kits make it simple for kids of all ages to build their products. This time we found a 3-in-1 ATR that can act as a forklift, rover and gripper. A wired controller allows the All Terrain Robot to go forward, backwards, turn and operate with a maximum lift of 200 gm. The ATR needs 4 AA batteries, not included.

There are plenty of robot books out there, but what really grabbed our attention recently was The Robot Book by Heather Brown. It not only has a delightful story line, it has moving parts to teach kids how he works and what is most important in both humans and non-.

Must Have: Cars 2 Mater Truck

Mater is the latest toy that has spawned from Cars 2 and turned into a toy for the masses. The decrepit, albeit lovable dump truck, voiced by Larry the Cable Guy, is remote control and can race Lightning McQueen . Both vehicles have flashing LED lights, cool sounds and quote phrases from the movie.
