Girlzilla Dominates NY Lower East Side

The New York Lower East Side Girls Club took a $200 electric wheelchair bought on craigslist and added steel piping, recycled electronics and fabric and came up with a 14 ft. tall Girlzilla. The bot also has a giant eye and glowing bellybutton, linking a video camera and projector to display crowd images when she takes to the street. The purpose of the exercise is to get teen girls more interested in robotics, a field that they feel is mostly male dominated.
